Who we are
This policy covers findmecover.co.uk, run by FindMeCover ("we", "us"). We're responsible for the small amount of information described below, under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What information we collect
You can use FindMeCover without telling us anything about yourself. We don't have accounts, sign-up forms or newsletters.
Technical information
Like almost every website, the services that run our site automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is needed to show you the website and keep it secure.
- Netlify hosts our website and keeps short-term server logs.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on our pages, so your browser contacts Google to download them.
Each of these companies handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Your settings
If you change how plans are sorted, your browser remembers that choice on your own device so it's still set next time. It isn't sent to us and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Cookies and affiliate links
FindMeCover itself doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies.
Some links to providers are affiliate links. When you click one, an affiliate network (such as Awin) and the provider may set cookies so they can tell that you came from FindMeCover if you buy a plan. These cookies are set on their websites, under their own cookie and privacy policies, and they don't give us your name or contact details. We'll ask for your permission before any optional cookies are used on our own site.
How long we keep information
We don't keep a database of visitors. Server logs held by our hosting provider are kept for a limited time and then deleted, in line with its policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it's used. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
To ask about your information or use any of these rights, email us at hello@findmecover.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use information, for example by adding analytics or a cookie banner, we'll update this page and the date below.
