Boiler cover is confusing. Every provider names its plans differently, prices change with every sale, and the price you see in year one is rarely the price you pay in year two. Finding out what's actually included can mean reading three websites and a stack of policy documents.
FindMeCover puts the main UK boiler and central heating plans side by side, in plain English. You can see what each plan costs, what it covers, what you'd pay when you claim, and what other customers think, all in one place. When you've found the right one, you buy it directly from the provider.
Who's behind FindMeCover
Most comparison sites ask for a lot of your personal details before they'll show you a single price. I started FindMeCover to make it simpler. There's no sign-up and no forms, just the information you actually need to choose boiler cover, explained by someone who has spent years working in the industry.
Jacob, founder of FindMeCover
What we promise
- Plain English. No jargon, and we explain the terms that matter, like excess and renewal prices.
- The catches, not just the headlines. We show year-two prices where providers publish them, along with waiting periods and replacement rules.
- You're in control. You choose how plans are sorted, by price, rating or name. We don't push one provider over another.
- Free to use. No sign-up and no charge to you, ever.
How we choose which plans to show
We list home emergency plans that cover a gas boiler, or a boiler and central heating, from well-known UK providers. We take prices from each provider's own website and show the date we last checked them. Prices can change at any time, so the price on the provider's site is always the one that counts.
We don't yet list every provider in the market. We're adding more over time.
How we check prices
- Straight from the source. Every price comes from the provider's own website, not from a third party.
- Like for like. We show the lowest published monthly price for a new homeowner, including any sale the provider is running. Where a lower price comes with a higher excess, we say so.
- Dated. The date we last checked is shown at the top of our comparison, and on any guide that quotes prices. We update it whenever we recheck.
- No guesswork. If a provider doesn't publish a fixed price for a plan, we show "Get a quote" rather than estimate one.
- Year-two prices. Where a provider publishes what you'll pay after the first year, we show it too.
- Ratings. Customer ratings are each provider's overall UK Trustpilot score, which can include reviews of other services they offer.
Your own price may differ depending on your postcode, your boiler and the excess you choose. The price on the provider's website when you buy is always the one that counts.
How we make money
Some links on FindMeCover are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a plan, the provider may pay us a commission. You pay the same price as you would going to the provider directly.
Commission never decides where a plan appears. Plans are ordered only by the option you choose, and a plan that pays us nothing is shown in exactly the same way as one that does.
Get in touch
Spotted a price that's changed, or have a question about how we compare plans? Email hello@findmecover.co.uk. We can't give personal advice about which plan to buy, but we read every message.
What we're not
FindMeCover is a comparison website. We aren't an insurer or an insurance broker, we don't sell policies, and we don't give personal advice about which plan is right for you. Always read a plan's policy documents before you buy, and contact the provider if you have questions about your cover.
